SLAM ONLINE: Nothing But Glove

There is great story about Gary Payton in Slam. He talks about his career a little, and how he views his career and basketball now. Payton mentions how he still bleeds Green and Gold, and supporting Save Our Sonics. He still has business in Seattle, and the GP Foundation.

I went to a GP Foundation/JL Scott charity basketball game at Key Arena on September 9th, 2001, before everything in this world was flipped upside down. They raised $250,000 that night, between the game and auction (I did not go to the auction, I just went to the game).

So when is Gary going down to Olympia? That's what I'd like to know.

city proposal to the task force December 1st. State task force report recommending projects December 10th (task force creation document says Dec 10th as their last day, could be sooner).
Some sub-committee in the house would have to approve an appropriation, likely having some testimony. If he is going to Oly then that would be the soonest, if there is a rally when it goes to the floor for a vote in, maybe, February, then maybe then.
When/if it passes then in Seattle there would be a rally to celebrate after that.
My guesses.
Ask Brian Robinson in a couple weeks what their plan is for his lobby group, that group was indentified in the Tacoma News Tribune last month and yet Brian hasn't said a word about it.

I really appreciate the discourse here more opposed to SC. DBF and BR should drop by more often.

well annonymous, as far as can tell, BR has never been here. I have reprinted stories there, and he has sent me one email in 2008 and it did mention my interest in fixing up the arena. So there is no proof that he has ever been here.

I'm joking.
Few people sign a name of some kind.

Cool post as for me. It would be great to read a bit more about this matter. Thanks for posting that material.
